His Voice Inc
His Voice is a ministry committed to defending the cause of the orphan and widow. The mission of His Voice is to empowering orphans, widows, and Church leaders to make disciples of all nations. His Voice accomplishes this mission by Engaging people with the Message of relationship with God, Encouraging people to understand the power of the Worldwide Church and Equipping people cross-culturally.

One of the ways His Voice has set out to equip people is to provide college tuition for every Orphan that is in the His Voice Orphanages. Currently, His Voice is raising money for a College Fund. Our hope is that when people run with irunforoprhans.com they will raise money for the fund and awareness of the needs.

Background Info
Vernon and Amber Burger have been ministering in Southern Sudan for four years. The Lord has given them a deep passion and Biblical call to 'defend the cause of the orphan and widow.' In Sudan, they are coming along side the local church, listening to them and being a voice for their needs and their vision. The number of orphaned street children in Sudan is rapidly growing due to war, disease and drinking water. After many visits and a deepening friendship with leaders of the southern Sudanese church, they have found a great need for orphanages that don’t just house and feed the children but for ones that grow them spiritually and intellectually. In January 05 the first orphanage of this kind was built in Morobo, Sudan. The Orphanage ground comprised of an orphanage with 72 orphans, a school with 200+ students, a church and some homes for the additional workers. For more information go to www.hisvoiceforsudan.com.

The Orphanage
The first orphanage that was built is in a village called Morobo, Sudan. The orphanage started with 48 orphans, 12 widows, 1 pastor, 1 guard, and 1 farmer. It has grown to 72 orphans, 14 widows, 3 cooks, 1 pastor, 1 guard, and 1 farmer. This is the first time in the lives of these children that they are able to eat 3 meals a day on a consistent basis. On the Orphanage grounds there is a school. Education is a large part of the orphanage. The school is for the orphans and also the local children. This has been such a great outreach. There are currently over 200 children in the school. Along with the school, there is a Church. The children attend the Church and are overseen throughout the week by a pastor. This has also been a great outreach to the community. During the week the church is a place where people can come from Congo, Uganda and from all over Sudan to be trained in the Bible.
